Jordan - 1/24/12

The first non - commercial website I came across was http://obeygiant.com/. On this website there are many things ranging from recent artwork and links to other artists websites to links about the top 5 tax myths. I like this website because they have work that is very recent and from around the world. My favorite part is the galleries of Shepard Fairey's work. His work is political an he uses very bold designs and sticks to using minimal colors especially sticking to black and red. Check it out, and maybe you'll find some inspiration.

The second website I came across was http://prettylightsmusic.com/#/home. This website looks like its using java script along with some flash. I like fist off because he gives his music away for free, and secondly because of the colors and because it is interactive. One of the things that sticks out to me in this site is that the background always has something small moving around and that if you move your mouse to the edges of the screen the images move along with it. This design makes it really unique from other pages.

The third website that I found was http://moodstream.gettyimages.com/. This website I came across on a list of some of the best flash websites of 2011. You start off by starting the streaming of images and videos. Then you can change the settings based the current mood your in and it will start streaming things. I think it is very cool and I haven't seen any other site out there like this so I thought I would share it.

The fourth website I found was http://okaydave.com/. This is a site of an artist by the name of Dave Werner. The way that his site layout is I found to be very interesting. It is just a collage of his work and things about him and there are clickable areas that bring you to some of his projects and it lets you get a look into some of the process that he went through getting to the final piece.

The final website I found was http://www.webleeddesign.com/. This website has a very interactive aspect that I found to be really cool. As you scroll down the page there is a design that follows you as you scroll and it changes, until it reaches the bottom of the page. This is a unique page and I have never seen anything like that used before on a web page.
