The first website I want to show you is from an extremely talented photographer that I know from back home. Her name is Kristin Minotti. She does portraits, weddings, engagements, and basically anything that people ask for. She does her clients' own hair and makeup, and she does amazing touch ups. I really like how clean her website is. It's not too confusing, and it's easy to navigate to each section on the site. She has many more photographs that she has taken, but only puts some of them on the website for viewing. The rest are for the clients to keep. I also really enjoy the fact that she has music playing on the site, and you can turn it on and off. But it gives a touch of uniqueness and personalityto her site. This photo is from her disney princess series. I love the fashionable, modern take on disneyprincesses. The bold makeup gives a nice contrast to the photo as well.
The next website is my cousin's website. Brian Kelley is also an extremely talented photographer, who lives in New York City. He is famous for taking photographs of skateboarders, and has worked for companies like Nike and Zoo York. He travels all over the world for these companies, shooting amazing photographs of skateboarders, with beautiful scenery. His website is extremely simple. When you first get to it, there is just an about, blog, and work section. The about section gives his info. The blog section takes you right to his blog, which has interesting new things on it every day. The work section is broken up into commercial, studio, and travel. His photographs are flawless, it's amazing what he can do. Check out his work!
This is a graphic designer's website that I found. David Airey is a graphic designer that creates brand identities, which helps to put his clients above their competitors, and to increase their profits. His main goal is to benefit others, not himself. I really like the way his website is set up. His portfolio is great, I love all of the different brand identities he has created, each one is very unique. He also has a huge list of blog topics which could be helpful. And I love the fact that he has a whole section giving advice to graphic designers. This is a huge section full of many helpful links, which is great! He has also written a book called Logo Design Love, which has a link right on his website, to check it out.
I also found this really awesome website, called digitalmash which was founded by the Australian graphic designer, Robyn Morris. He has worked for Coca-Cola, Knowledge Network, Broadway.com and other companies. He is even part of the product design team for Facebook! This website is so interesting. The descriptions and topics of each section have bright colors, and each colored group of words either leads to another part of the website, a certain photo, and even to other links. Under the photos section, he even describes which camera he uses, and you can click right on it and it brings up a link of where you can find that camera. His journal section is set up the same way, with the different colored topics that you can click on, and it will scroll down to that journal topic.
This is a graphic design company, founded by Milton Glaser in 1974. It consists of a few designers, and is located in Manhattan. They design many different things for clients, such as packaging, logos, posters, books and magazines, and advertisements. Their website is very clean, and it's easy to navigate to all of the different sections. They have a ton of work on their site that you can explore, which is really interesting. They have such a wide variety of clients, which makes each of their designs very unique.
